Jamie Langford

Assistant Director of Studies

After originally studying Fine Art, I sort of fell into teaching English accidentally in 2004 – and I’m still doing it now more than ten years later! I’ve had three years of experience teaching in Italy and I taught children for a short time in Japan. I enjoy teaching because I get a sense of satisfaction from helping people in a real way. It’s also less boring than being stuck behind a desk!

Outside of work, I mostly enjoy taking photographs – often of things other people would consider rubbish: derelict buildings and dirty pavements. See some of my photos here, I also read a lot of books. I don’t have any favourite authors or genres. I’ll read anything as long as it’s good! I like cinema too but I don’t get the opportunity to go as regularly as I would like.
